What is it?
Find out how to get the most for your electric energy dollar by learning how you and your home use electricity. A representative of Minnesota Power will visit your home and analyze how you use electricity, determine your electric energy use per appliance and recommend efficiency improvements.
You'll learn how to optimize your electric usage by changing the way you use appliances. In some cases, Minnesota Power will work with your gas utility or Community Action Agency (CAA) to deliver a comprehensive energy audit.
Check with your heating fuel provider or CAA to see if they participate in the Energy Partners program.
How do I participate?
- Complete the Your Home Energy Report (YHER) Survey. If an HEA is recommended, request one online or
call 218-355-2843 (option 3) to schedule your in-home energy analysis with electric energy emphasis.
- The auditor will contact you to arrange for a time convenient for you to be home.
Note: Income eligible customers may qualify for additional services through a Community Action Agency.
What are the requirements to participate?
- Participants must be Minnesota Power customers (e.g., responsible for their own Minnesota Power electric bill).
- Participants must complete the YHER before requesting HEA with Electric Energy Emphasis.
- Participants must be at home during the analysis. Allow up to 2 hours for completion of the in-home analysis.
What's in it for me?
- Receive up to five energy-efficient light bulbs and a complimentary "demonstrating the Power of OneĀ®" resource kit full of applicable rebates, special offers and energy-saving tools for your home.
- Participants who have electric water heaters will receive and have installed water- and energy-saving tools (e.g., showerhead, faucet aerators, shower timer, pipe wrap, and water heater blanket) subject to customer approval and the right application.
- Access to the Power of OneĀ® Portal so you can be the first to hear about new rebates and special offers. This requires completing the YHER.
- Receive a free copy of the Road Map to Energy Efficiency booklet. It is packed full of practical information on how to improve the energy efficiency of your home from water heating to air sealing.
